La Cinacina |

In San Antonio de Areco, the heart of Argentine tradition, and at only 112 kilometers from the city of Buenos Aires, La Cinacina welcomes visitors right at the far end of the town where countryside starts to expand. Like all the Estancias in the Buenos Aires outskirts, it has been built among a large number of construction buildings which at one time served as housing and provided the necessary space for the various activities carried out in the fields, work, leisure and thought. At La Cinacina you will visit the Main House (casco), the Ermita, the Pulpería, the Carriage Storage House, the Ranch, the Horse Stable and the Mangrullo. These buildings are of great historic value in the life of men and women of our countryside. Take the chance to share a real Gaucho's Party with friends, learning about customs and traditions, tasting creole meals and enjoying traditional folk music and dance. Enjoy a horse back riding or a carriage ride around the Estancia and the town of Areco where you will be visiting museums and silversmiths. You will be amazed at the sight of skills and dexterities of horse riders, ring races (carreras de sortija), some traditional horse races (carreras cuadreras y movimientos de tropilla). If you are looking for peace, just stroll through the vast park and around the lagoon crowded with birds or you may simply like to stay in the swimming-pool just relaxing and watching this magnificent scenario.
The trip to the town of San Antonio de Areco starts right after the visitors are picked up from the different hotels in downtown Buenos Aires. During the journey, the guide will introduce you to various topics of interest such as Argentine culture and history. Once we reach the town of Areco, there is a tour around its streets, the Main Square, The Old Bridge and other historical sites and you will also have the chance to see the work of the most outstanding silversmiths in the River Plate area. Our Estancia, located at just about 500 meters from the town’s historical sites, keeps the traditional charm of the Estancias in The Pampas region. On arrival to La Cinacina, at about 11AM, you will be welcomed with music, "empanadas" (meat stuffed pastries), salami, country-made bread and drinks*.Afterwards there is free time to take a guided horse back riding tour or carriage ride around the grounds.Right before lunch we serve an appetizer made up of matambre and other cold cuts.At 1 PM we serve lunch: an Argentinean Barbeque that includes: chorizo, morcilla, asado al asador, vacío al asador, costillar, salads, dessert and coffee. Beverages: soft drinks and mineral water. During lunch there is a folk music and dance show, where the guests can participate singing and dancing. Afterwards, it comes the time for the exhibition of horse riders dexterities (ring races -carreras de sortijas- and "cuadreras"), and to visit the different buildings that make up the Estancia: the Main House, the Ermita, the Pulpería, the Carriage Storage House, the Ranch, the Horse Stable, the Mangrullo or the family Museum. By late afternoon, you will be served a traditional hot drink (mate) with some sweet stuffed pastries (pastelitos).Over the summer, our swimming-pool is open to the guests. We look forward to your visit to La Cinacina, where you can witness and experience a real Gaucho's Party out in the countryside in a pleasant atmosphere of hospitality. * Includes soft drinks and mineral water.
